Clyde was injured about a week ago and his hind legs and tail are now paralysed. He's struggling with so many things now and it breaks my heart. I want to help him in any way I can but I don't want to make his injury worse. He's self-mutilating, and losing weight (witch he can't afford to lose because he was sick before the injury so he was underweight to begin with). Any idea's to help him adapt and function as normally as possible would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has any information/experience on what to expect that would be great. Thanks!

I am sorry to hear of this happening to Clyde. I am including a link for resources. Val runs this rescue and the first two websites may be helpful for your situation. Val has worked with special needs and if you can contact her, she may be able to offer suggestions.

I am very sorry to hear this, but with him self mutilating you may need to make the call to help him over the bridge.

Val does have JackieChan, who is paralyzed but I don't think he ever SMed.

Please keep us posted on your little one.
