My female is 2 - 3 weeks ip . When to neuter male? I am afraid to separate them for a day but I don't need another set of joeys. I already have 4 adults and 6 would be my limit.

You can have him neutered any time before the joeys are close to coming OOP. Gliders often mate again as soon as the joeys are near or just OOP.

Your male might need to spend one night after the surgery in a separate cage but it will not be a long separation.

I usually gave my guys a dose of their pain med in the morning the day after the surgery then put him back in with the family to sleep the rest of the day. By then the guys were all acting as if nothing had happened and I was sure that they were not paying too much attention to the site.

Will call vet tomorrow. I have issues doing surgery on my own pets. I was a wreck all night when I spayed my dog and I have been a vet for 20 years.
