Hey all. Started drinking early and thought this would be a fun post. Name two things that you find amazing about sugar gliders. I will start. 1) Their total uniqueness as a species: Mammal...social, bonds to humans. Their social structure. Every day I find something new that geeks me out. 2) Their uniqueness as people. Have now witnessed so many little personalities. Dramatic, Comical, Spiteful. They are like little cartoon characters. Why didn't I know about these 20 years ago? Ok...I tend to blather on. But what about you guys? :-)

1. I agree with Kimberley, their personalities. I find it amazing how I have four OOP within a couple weeks of each other, from the same breeder, & two are sisters... & each of their personalities is so unique I can normally tell them apart by watching. 2. That even after a couple of months, their larger than life antics are still able to put a smile on my face (most antics, anyways)... even first thing in the morning.

My 10 yr old daughter shared one of hers this morning. All the unattractive features they have: big buggy eyes, little pig nose, gnarled witch's hands, freakishly long tail, buck teeth. But somehow they are the cutest things imaginable.
I would agree on their distinctive personalities. My 2 are as different as day and night. I can tell which glider is on my back by their movements.

1. How deeply they bond (mine will literally yell at the kids if he thinks they're being rude) 2. The depth of personality these tiny little creatures possess, it is a never ending mind boggle!

I love their witchy hands! And that they act like "big" animals but are so tiny. They are quite smart for their itty bitty size. Also they appreciate belly rubs and make goofy noises and spit all over you to show their affection. <3 And they like to nap and snuggle all day. Perfect pets. They're fat bat-like animals that you can legally own, have pig noses, and fly. Also they carry things in their tails. Kay that was more than two...

Out of so many things, the two that stand out the most are how adaptable they are. My babies have gone camping, been through two major moves, a few cage changes and have taken it all in stride. All three of mine were re-homes, and I know my boy had gone through more than one home change prior to mine. These critters amaze me!
The second, they're just so darn, stinkin cute! Just looking at them, and watching their antics and behaviors is amusing to me.
