Anti pill fleece does stand up better in the long run.

I get my fleece from JoAnn's. I go through the remnant bin, which are usual on sale in my area since they are in odd lengths.

Some vendors will use a tight weave cotton on the outside of their sleeping pouches. A very tight stitch should be used when sewing. I myself don't care for the cotton on the outside, I think it feels sticky faster than an all fleece pouch.
