Joeys in Pouch, Fur Cracked?? - 10/29/19 01:28 AM

After doing more research of what I already thought I knew, I found seasonal changes can affect their fur as much as other factors. Out of my 6 gliders, Maisie is the only one who’s fur has cracked. She’s also the only one with joeys IP. Her cage mate, the dad, is fine. Could the joeys play a part? They all eat Critter Love. Is there anything else I can do to get her back to looking normal? It’s only started cracking in the last week.

She may need a little more protein.
Is dad helping with the Joeys? Is mom eating? Have you tried giving a little more protein? Is the food dish empty every morning?

Babies are still in pouch, but dad is very attentive to her. They get along so well. Food dish isn't completely empty, but most is gone. I believe she is eating, she's kind of hard to monitor. She's bonded to me and is okay out of the cage, but when she's in the cage, she doesn't like to be watched. I'll definitely try more protein and maybe try to hand feed it to make sure she's getting it.

She doesn't need more protein, they need an extra serving of food. So if there is two adult gliders in the cage they need enough food for two, both the staple and the salad.
