??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 03:13 AM

Ladies I have a question about this bra bonding. I am a FULL d and there is NO room left in my bra. I dont know how to get the boys in there.
I have the 2 new babies and would like to try the bra bonding with these 2 as it's supposed to speed the process and help the bonding (no way I'm thinking about puttin' my little mega-biter in my bra LOL)
How do us busty ladies pull this off???
Is there a certain brand of bra I can buy? Where?

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 03:27 AM

i dont putmy girl in my bra but i put her around it in my shirt. so maybe wear a shirt that leaves some roomunder your bra? kilala just sits underneath and grooms and sleeps there. like a second pouch ( GOD FORBID WE WAKE HER UP! she gets really crabby when shes confortable and sleeping LOL roflmao ) but try that. i mean i dont stick anything in my bra anymore. BAD experiences with baby rabbits. not fun. roflmao

Put a sports bra on top of your normal bra. Then put them in between the bras. It creates a little pocket for them.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 03:51 AM

Yeah, when people say 'in my bra', do they actually put the gliders IN the bra? If your bra is that loose on you, you need a better bra! I always just assumed it meant 'in your shirt'. Mine will nestle near my arm pit with their heads against my skin, and wrap their little paws around my bra strap. But they never go IN my bra.

I assume that's what people mean when they say 'in my bra'. But really....does anybody actually shove them down there?

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 04:05 AM

Well I am new to all this suggie mommy stuff but I know if I'm worried about the girls fallin' out of the bra, there sure as heck ain't no room for the boys in there.
Posted By: KattyM

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 04:10 AM

I wear two sports bras and they rest between the two layers. In the winter, I wear two camisoles with built-in bralettes (because it's warmer for me). Sometimes I wear a sports bra on top of the camisole (because the elastic is stronger or something); they don't fall out the bottom as easily.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 04:34 AM

Is it just me...I would think a sports bra is going to create more cleavage...and where is that baby going to have room? I would be scared of suffocating the glider in my bra...ahhh! I just know anything tight at all...like a sports bra...and I am up even further and squished together too...don't see how much of anything would be fittin in there, specially a glider. crazy Poor squishy...lol.

Now maybe a tank top with another shirt over it...but they still would not be nestled in with the girls really...not really touching skin...but this I can see do-able.

Amen to the no room left Trigger...I am with ya! And no way in heck...I have a biter too...goodness he is a scary guy sometimes...no way is he even coming close! ***I let my babies sleep in my sweater sleeve one night...they really enjoyed that! grin

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 04:46 AM

I have the same problem and have been tying a small pouch to my bra straps (so the pouch and glider sort of rest on top). My problem with the shelf bra camisoles is that there is no support for me and I'm not comfortable in them. And to put one over my bra (a good bra already feels like a whole lot of material) is just uncomfortable, and usually still too tight. I am still trying to figure it all out myself, so if anyone comes up with something, I would love to know.

Well I'm determined to figure something out... now I may look like the hunch front of notre dame by the time I am done but I want to be a member of this paws in bras club one way or another. I'll send G rated pics when I get it figured out. LOL

Gretchen if I figure something out I will blurt it out here for the world to know and post some pics (g rated of course)
My mom is a seamstress and I just figured out what her next big project is. Her fur grandbabies need a bra.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 06:09 AM

Mine go IN my bra - I just loosen up my straps a little and there's room (and I am bigger than a D, and the bra fits correctly because it was custom measured)
Posted By: Trigger

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 06:19 AM

BeckiT is this a special bra I need custom ordered to fit me and my duo. I usually wear victoria's secret satin but there is a specialty shop close by that does custom bra orders . Do you think that may help I can explain to them what I need and if they want my money they should be willing to try and help me. My mom can but she has never done underwear.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 12:15 PM

Becki...would that be an SGGA bra??? lol

Trigger, I think she just meant it was a custom bra that was measured for her. Then she just loosens it and puts the gliders in there.

I am a 32E, so I definitely understand where you're coming from. Just buy the sports bra a little larger than you normally would. Go to Wal-Mart and try them on over your normal bra. You want it to fit well at the bottom, but be loose enough that there is room for the gliders to fit in it.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 01:05 PM

My joeys always go IN my bra but as they get bigger they tend to stay outside of the bra. I think they think it's another pouch they just grow out of. shakehead
I too am a D and I just pull my hmm "ladies" to the side, loosen the strap and my joeys squeeze right in there. roflmao Once they realize they like it in there, it's kinda hard to keep them out. blush

Comet has lasted the longest, he is a large 6 month old and still manages to squeeze in every once in awhile. roflmao

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 03:32 PM

Mine go in between but kind of on top, if that makes sense? I don't have the goodness there, if you know what I mean, but my gliders aren't in my bra, per se, just in that general area. The cammies work best for me and mine, or I just tuck my shirt (only at home) in under my bra and let 'em loose. Biscuit won't stay in one place no matter what, and if I am bra less, he uses certain um... parts as a handle. :/

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 03:53 PM

Being a DD, I usually don't have extra room. I have a couple sport bras that allow for passengers. I have one like this. http://www.hanes.com/Hanes/Products/Wome...Hanes/G407.aspx
It doesn't fit exactly like the ad shows; I have room in the middle to put (some of) mine. With Nese, I can just put her in without any problems. Alev prefers being in a small fleece pouch and then being placed in my bra (or with some sort of material). I have a Nike sports bra that has room for the three of them. Only problem is that you look a little lumpy. wink

Megi is correct, my bras are custom fit for me - I can't go into regular stores or even lingerie stores and buy a bra frown

and Megi, no, I had mine before SGGA - I wear a 36H (just had to get a new one, I've lost 17 pounds since SGGA, was a 38I), so it's somewhat a necessity to have mine custom fitted, lol..

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 07:41 PM

I just had to add about the biting...be careful. lol.

Someone mentioned going bra-less with them in a cami top...I use to always do this. Well, we went sometime without Booger being carried around like this, and one morning I was like.."I'm gonna take him with me in my shirt today"
I took my daughter to school and he bite me the entire way. Finally when we got there, I had to go in the bathroom and take him out...all the other parents were looking at me funny wondering why I kept saying "ouch" to my shirt. shakehead

Also...if you haven't heard...gliders are very interested in moles. Sounds really gross, but I have a small mole just under my bra line...and let me tell you, once they find it, they will not leave it alone. OUCH!

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 07:43 PM

I'm a DDD and sports bras squeeze to much & the camis with the built in bra don't usually have the built in part big enough, so I usually wear a thin, cami-type tank top over the bra and tuck it under the bra (band) all the way around, then the gliders can go wherever they want in there, but they usually sleep in between the "girls" outside of the bra. Then I wear a shirt over that - usually just a flannel or light-weight button up that I'd wear the tank top with anyway... No one even knows they're there until they see me peeking down my shirt and baby-talking to my chest! roflmao Unfortunately, Tika & Tas are very energetic groomers sometimes and they get me good even through the bra! shakehead

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 08:21 PM

Well I've got the boys in. I had a little half shirt that ties in back at the bottom and is nice thin cotton. They crabbed at me a bit and Snuki snuggled right in and went back to sleep, Snupi, my nosey little booger sniffed and took a bite. OUCH! I will need a fuller coverage bra. Now he's just nestled his little head right in the middle looking up at me, but those little peepers are getting heavy. They're so sweet.

roflmao yep...the whole mole issue is a pain. Glad to hear someone knows what it feels like. lol.

As for the hickey...hubby was actually okay about it. I kept wondering how I was gonna explain a hickey when he got home from work...lol...he just laughed it off! Seems he thought is was really funny.

Trigger...honestly it didn't feel great, I actually almost took him out and put him back in the cage, but once I realized he was grooming me...and not biting...I let him stay in. He only did it for a little while before snuggling up and going to sleep. It was also the first time I had put him down my shirt.

I'm jealous! I am not as GIFTED as the rest of you. I am only a C.
I wear these sports bras:
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5162273

I have enough room for one large or two small suggies in there. It is so sweet to look down and see that cute little face staring up at you.

Also, my husband has been much more interested in looking down my shirt since I started putting suggies in there!

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 10:46 PM

Angel up to this point in my life it may have been GIFTED but I'm going to look pretty funny trying to explain to the Dr. I need a reduction so I can fit more gliders in there.

And if you think your hubby is looking more now just wait till you end up with one of those big ol' hickeys roflmao

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/01/07 11:10 PM

I haven't gotten a hickey yet, I have gotten some tiny scratches though. My 5 1/2 wk old babies love it in there and hang on for dear life!!!

If you ever do ask for the reduction, be sure to let us know what the look on the doc's face was shock!!!

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/02/07 01:18 AM

Angel...be happy with C's...I used to be there...and god was bra shopping so much easier. You can get like everything in a C, and matching undies to with them...If I had anything that matched anymore it would be nice...but I guess, if I was willing to shell out all that money I could....but no thanks...lol. Gliders need things more than me having matching under garments....lol.

Once you get into bigger sizes, it is so hard finding non-granny bras. I am 23, I like cute girly frilly things, not granny bras. No offense to anyone...just makes me mad...just cuz you have a larger chest, does not mean you do not like cute bras, or have $50 to pay on one...that is too much for me. Victoria's and Fredericks have pertty stuff that I am sure I could find my size...just not so into the price! LOL.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/02/07 01:41 AM

C's are not so great...I'm lucky enough to be a 34C...can't find a 34 in most stores...and if you're lucky enough to find one...it's usually only one. Not much of a selection.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/02/07 03:09 AM

Ladies, thank you. I had the best time reading this. I was feeling down today, stayed home from work because my girls had the sneefles and spent the day running after them, paid bills and cooked during nap time. Nothing special but for some reason I was not my perkier self. After my daughters went to bed, I felt really tired and I sat on the couch and took the pouch out and had it resting on my chest with my hand inside petting them. It was cozy and I wondered how it would be to be adventurous and put them inside. But like some of you being fortunate upstairs leaves little room. Do not know if I will try some of the suggestions (hickies and mole stories kind of scared me away smile!), but my mood at least is a 100 times better.

Hug to all,
Sophia

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/02/07 06:13 AM

See, I don't know...I was a 34C for quite a long time...I ALWAYS found bras in my size, then I was a 34D...that size sucks, then a 34DD (no better!) and now up to a 36DD...seemingly a little better I suppose...but there are many stores that still do not carry this size or anything cute in this size at all...C's were much easier to shop for...lol!

Ahh...the joys of bra shopping. Sometimes I can find good deals on the sale racks at Penny's...I used to go to to Marshall's a lot too...been a long time...but they are a couple places to try. Last REALLY cute ones I found in my size were at Nordstrom Rack...and those two very VERY cute! I will always keep an eye open at target or Walmart, just in case...usually do not find a lot there...but sometimes I will find something I really like...once in a great while...so it is worth looking.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/02/07 06:44 AM

I wear a 36-38 C and I have to try on 25-30 bras before I find one that fits close to the way I like. Those aren't usually the pretty frilly ones with matching undies either. Then when I finally find THE ONE, they stop selling it within a year, then I am up the creek once again! When I find one, I buy several and try to stock up when I can. I wish I could get a variety of styles not just colors. It is not always easier when you are smaller. But, then again, before babies I was a34 B and could find tons of stuff.

I guess I am just jealous because I am the least GIFTED of all the women in my family. One of my cousins wears an HH. ooo

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/02/07 01:16 PM

I have quite the opposite problem. I wear a 46A. Back like a football player and bosoms like a ten year old. Even with some A cups I have to wear 'chicken cutlets'(those fake rubber boobies) in the cups to fill them out. If a glider crawled into my bra, it would fall out the bottom! roflmao

I understand the whole thing about after the kiddos...before kids I was right at a 32B...now a 36B or a 34C. While I was pregant with my son I got up to either a 36 or 38DD. Never felt so "blessed". roflmao

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/02/07 05:50 PM

The two biggest problems I see is the misinterpretation that us bust girls must want to waer plain thin white grandma bras. I like variety and color and prefer something femime and stylist. Designers should not stop designing bras at say 36C and cut it off there! Larger chested women like cute things too darn it!

And as for fitting and sizing...all breasts are different shapes and sizes, just becuase you take two girls that wear the same bra size...does not mean they can wear the same bra. Some are rounder, some are more oval and longer, some are perkier, some are too perky, some need a little push up...something designers should also take in...have different girls of the same sizes try them on...get a feel on the differences and see if there is a way to make them more useful for the diversity in breast shape and size.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/02/07 06:01 PM

I completely agree! It shouldn't have to cost an arm and a leg to buy a pretty set that actually fits right either.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/02/07 10:48 PM

Ok, I went out today to try on the shelf bra camis over my bra...what a joke. There wasn't enough material to cover half of my bra, so frustrating. shakehead

And I agree bra shopping was tough when I was a 32DD, but try finding a 34H. Once the cup size gets to F or higher, it is difficult to find a band smaller than a 38. cry

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/02/07 11:25 PM

I totally agree too. Hurray for all breasts and sizes. It is indeed a shame that bustier women are "discriminated" like this. I want cute bras that fit for every size and shape! Also, being a DD myself, how about a sports bra that it does not allow my breasts to give me a black and blue eye when I try to run!

I wonder if I can complain to my congressman about this?! smile

Hope you are all having a great evening enjoying furry, fuzzy, pointy nose chests!

I found this cool tight to the body bra/camisol thing at TJ Max for really cheap. Going to try it today with "bra baby" I always get scratches as she takes some time finding a comfy spot and her lately she likes to get not in my armpit but pretty close kinda on the outside of the breast. So can't wait to give this a try. I'm still trying to figure out what size I am. I had gastric bypass and have lost 115 pounds so it's a challenge but a good one I have to admit. smile

Well ladies this was day 2 of bra bonding or in my case bra make shift short shirt thingy. It's going great but I should have thought to put the boys back in their cage BEFORE making them fruit smoothies. Snupi(my nosey, mischievious little guy woke up & wanted to know what was goin' on) This is a great experience and I would have to recommend it to everyone with a pet...
heck next time I get a puppy I'm gonna stick it in my bra Maybe it will help with house training too.

Re: ??? ONLY FOR THE GIRLS - 11/03/07 01:39 AM

I had not had anything like that happen before. Last night I thought it might though. One of my tiny babies (almost 6 wks) was in there, cuddling and comfy for a while. Then all of the sudden she started trying to groom me only very vigorously! OUCH! Every time I would peak in to see what she was doing she would stop and look up at me as if to say "What?" dunno . Then as soon as I would cover her back up she would start doing it again. We went through that 4 times before she finally settled in.
It was sweet though. smile

You know, no two people are the same, well, my two girls aren't the same. The left is a full size larger than the right. Groan!
Good news, Biscuit fell asleep in my bra last night laugh Actually, I crossed my arm across my stomach right under my bra, because he was a wiggle-butt and he finally settled into position, holding on to the edge of the cup and fell asleep, so sweet!!! Wow...lots of girls have that actually...but I am sure that can be a bit of a pain to deal with. I am luckilly not much different...so I am very thankful for that...since bra shopping can already be hard enough as is.

As for you ladies and the extreme expanding breasts during pregnancy...I totally never want to be pregnant. Wow Kris...BIG difference...I am not comfortable gaining another 3+ sizes (even if it is temporary)...you really busty ladies...don't know how you do it! Mine are enough for me...more than enough at times...I am happy with what I have now...and hope they stay what they are now...

When I had a loose bra I would put my joey right where my heart is and he would snooze and snooze. This helped with bonding tremendously. I think with my next joeys I'll just have to purchase a sports bra, like was suggested, or a slightly larger bra to be able to support some bonding babies! Hehe

PS I just had my first dish of glider talk comeing from all three cages...a hiss pop here...a bar here...a pop there...and a hiss here...this is so cute! LOL

You already have a lot of responses, but I figured I would put my two cents in. I am a full DD, so I completely understand how you're feeling! I was wondering the same thing at the beginning. The sports bra thing didn't work for me, but maybe if you bought a size too big it would work, but I don't like the sound of that. I always wear a camisole with a built-in bra AND my regular bra, so there is a pocket in the cleavage. Also, once they get comfy in your shirt, you don't even need a spot for them...they'll just hang onto your shirt and go for the ride. Yuki will either push herself up under one side, hang out in the cleavage, or my armpit.

Hope this helps!

I had the newbies out tonight...Howie was insane...so hyper and friendly gave each me and the BF a nip in the ear...it was a bit freaky...hurt a little but was not too bad...frisky fella!

Gracie was hyper too, kept putting her nose on my neck...talk about goosebumps...then DOVe down my shirt...that was a bit of a surprise and this shirt was NOT low cut at all...dove right in. She was kind of wild in there ...all over the place...little clawws all over...thank god there is sandpaper in that wheel.

It was a bit awkward. First suggie in my boobs you know...I was not prepared or expecting it...so i was shocked and a bit freaked...but...maybe we can try it again sometime...I know if she WANTS to...she will just dive in again anyways...lol. I know she will fit...I am just not so sure about a pair fitting into my pair you know...lol.

***to add to the above...yeah...sports bra would push me up further and together...leaving virtually no room I would imagine...and as for buying a bra a size bigger...ugh...I will pass. You ladies that want to be gifted can have any of my excess if these things get any bigger...I personally do not want any more than I have...I am plenty happy not gaining any more...I gotta enough for me!

Ok I am new to this bra thing also I have been doing it about a month now with 2 joey's. I swore I was never putting gliders into my bra just was like ummmm nope not for me kinda weird having furkids in there.
Well to my surprise this is one of the best way's to take them with you once they are used to it and they do not try to come out.
Now when I did it it was at a get together with people who talked me though getting them in and I put 3 Joey's in the first time doing it....Thank You Alicia!
Some pointers given to me were get an underwire bra and yes I know they are not comfortable ~ well after wearing them for this adventure they get comfortable and geesh we all know we will all live with a little uncomfortableness for the gliders!
Then get a fairly tight fitting (this keeps them from running out the sides and bottom of it) Cami~top with built in bra and put it over your regular bra. Gently add glider and kinda of cup your hand over the top once you put them in so they can not run out let them settle in and they will fall asleep. You can also put them in with a little piece of fleece blanket this kinda comforts them I find.

Good Luck and I am still doing this after a month so it is all good here. I am even gonna try and adult glider sooner or later.

I have one side that is a whole size larger than the other, always has been. So my larger side needs a 38d, smaller a 38c. I always buy the larger size. But this helps me now, because I can get Bingo II into the small side with no problem. He crawls in there and snuggles up on the top of my...um...boob(?), right where the strap meets the top of the cup. And he'll either stick his head out toward the other boob, or bury it in my armpit. So mine is actually IN my bra. My hubby thinks it's gross. Whatever!!!

Hubby is jealous he is not IN your bra all day...lol

As for the underwire...that is all I buy...I need to feel like those puppies are staying in there...lol...try not to let them more around TOO much.

As for the tight cami...any thing tight is going to squish me together...so I can not go with anything too tight...does not allow for much room.

Gracie likes hopping in...so I am sure we will get this thing figured out eventually...otherwise I will have gliders pushing their way around in there and I will look lumpy and have possessed moving breasts...woohoo! lol.

That's so funny Brenda, this is what I have ended up doing too! I have had gliders for years and actually trained them not to be bra babies (but at the SGGA, seeing all of the tails made me sad). So with Maia, I knew I wanted to figure it out. In the post I made earlier, I mentioned that I tried the cami, but it only comes 1/2 way up over my bra. I bought it any way and have been getting used to it and now wear it and Maia everyday! It works just like you described (I just can never wear it by itself, or under an open shirt is all roflmao ). It's wonderful having a bra baby again!!!

Well the bra babies are coming along GREAT!!! They are to the point I just drop em' in they snuggle down and sleep all day.
Hubby looked at me today & said 'wish I was a bra baby'LOL

I once heard of a full busted woman who trained her gliders to stay on the strap...

ME? I want to train one of mine to stay in my hair. XD under a hat or something...not quite sure how to pull it off so far...._.;;
