Ok I have been advised to increase the amont of mealies I give my female now that she is pregnant. This has been going just fine like it was before. In the AM she would come to me, sit in my hand while being fed mealies...but...the last two mornings, I will give her a good amount of mealies and when they are gone she nibbles me, and this morning she actually broke skin! I wanted to flick her little head for being moody...any suggestions on how to change this behavior. She has always been my standoffish one, but she has never biten!

I'm no expert in this.. But maybe she thinks that you still have the worms
I wouldn't flick her though. I've heard making a hissing noise shhhhhhhh works.

I would never flick her, I just want to at times! You know kinda like when you just want to smack the crud out of a co-worker, but you just can't!
No but really she is a good girl, I just don't like the biteing all of a sudden. She eats the mealies and aliens so quick so that Petrie can't get as much and then I guess she is DEMANDING more! I don't want to over do it! I mean she eats them like they are going out of style!

My female suggie is prego too. I noticed when she is really hungry she "grooms" me more looking for things to eat on me. It's not aggressive, that is how you know it's an actual bite. Just lick, lick, lick, scrape, scrape...I make a TSSSSST sound when she does this and she stops right away. You could also try offering her a bit more food if she is really hungry. Mealies are fattening you can offer other things to her that are high in protien and low in fat like crickets or grasshoppers. Yogie drops are a suggie favorite too.

Are yoggies fattening? She only bites me when the mealies are gone!

They can be fattening. Everything in moderation. Your suggie must be doing what mine does, she tells me "mom, I am still hungry!"

What kind of diet do you have her on? You need to increase her regular diet while she is preggers and nursing.
