My gliders are about 9 and 10 months. I am just wondering if they will mate soon. Sara my female is older, if that helps. I thought she had babies ip but that was a few weeks ago. I can't tell though she might.

How long have you had yours together. It took my gliders about six months after they had both reached sexual maturity for them to mate.

Don't know if this will help any, but our first two gliders were a year old when we got them, had never had joeys and after having them for a few months we thought they wouldn't. Then when they were a year and a half old we found out that they were actually brother and sister, so we thought they "Couldn't" mate. Wrong, a couple of weeks after we found out they were related we noticed a joey in pouch. So they were 18 months old when they first mated. Not sure if it does have anything to do with being siblings or not, but have since found that siblings should NOT mate. Luckily for us everything seems to be ok and the baby is 10 weeks old and doing well.

I know of females that haven't produce off spring until they are 2 years old or older... It all depends on the glider really. Some females mature faster than others. Also, some females will eat their babies with 1 male and produce left and right with another... Give her time and she should eventually have a little bundle of joy for you to love on

I have had at least two females with their male mates for over a year and they still have not produced any joeys.
As Leyna said, "some females will eat their babies with 1 male and produce left and right with another..." I think it is true with some pairs. Some are not the "right ones" for them thus they do not want their babies, I would think.
