In the 3 (almost 4) years that I have own gliders I have never really gotten to witness a glider mate or even really attept to mate. Yes, I have seen my males mount females, but all male extremities were kept in their place. Well, tonight, I got a bit of a suprize. I have a young, about 7 month old male, house with an older female (7-10 years) and another, neutered, male (Smegal). I never really expected to see what I saw to night in their cage! The young male was trying to get it on with the very old female!

This first one, I think I'm going to call "Why me?"

Lol, that is about what I was thinking when I fed them! To say the least, they are the last two gliders I would have expected that from. I consider them a non-breeding trio! My breeding pairs and trios need to take a hint, lol.

Ummm... yeah. I was a little creeped out when I got my own first hand glimpse at the glider anatomy.

Don't blame you... One of my guy friends said that gliders are one of the luckiest animals on earth. They get to sleep between womens boobs all day and they are very well equipped, lol.

Leyna, have you thought about sharing those photos with Hope for her anatomy pages?? I am sure she would find interest in these photos.

If you want to know what a person is like, watch how he treats others.

You'll never know what the outcome is if you don't step up and try.

I just sent them to her. I was planning on getting around to it sooner or later, but sometimes it's not bad to have somebody pushing you along to make sure you get things done... Thanks for the reminder Peggy

HAHAHAH Leyna, you're the greatest! The first pic got me laughing so hard when I saw what you wanted to entitle it! So great... Yes, the male glider anatomy is so strange, indeed! Those crazy marsupials!!!
