Update: Fiona is doing really well. But... (There's always one of those) She's scratching!!! Her fur has grown over most of her wound which didn't leave a scar ( BTW). I did notice about a week ago her bald parts were getting larger. I started putting vetricyn on it and it doesn't seem to help. There is a very small scab where her dime sized wound was. It doesn't seem to want to heal the rest of the way up. I'm curious if there could be a suture (stitch) that didn't dissolve, and it's making her itch and she just can't reach it... Her surgery was about 6 weeks ago... I feel like there's been a revolving door at the vet office and and a hole in my wallet since this all started 11 weeks ago. I feel I need to take her back in if for no other reason to find out why she's scratching... What do you guys think??? Edit: She isn't over grooming anywhere else. Just her back right below her wound.

Unfortunately, it sounds like a stitch! Update: She's still scratching!!! But she hasn't broken the skin or caused any flaking of her skin. I've kept her nails short. We did try spraying the area with vetricyn, then tried the antibiotic cream the vet gave us too. She didn't like anything on her fur. She would sit in a corner of her cage and try to groom it off(she knows we don't want her scratching, so she turns her head in the corner tail facing towards me, thinking I can't see her. She has also started wrapping her tail around her wound. It looks like a grey cinnamon roll on her back. So, we took her back to the vet. Doc looked her over, felt her scar(which is tiny) and determined she is just over grooming. The vet decided to put her on Benadryl to see if it will help her "chill out" a little. That was yesterday... It will take a few days to find out if it was helpful. I just want to see fur grow!

Final chapter and update:
Fiona is healed, and has all her fur back!!!
Since she had stitches, part of her black stripe is missing, and it one end kind of curves.
Fiona and Stewie are together now. He's been with her for a few months now. No issues and they are playing well together. Since Fiona was 100% healed, but still overgrooming, I put them together and Stewie didn't seem to mind he bald spots at all. To him her beauty was on the inside. He didn't care what her fur looked like. And she quit scratching!
I just love happy endings!!!!
Oh, I still have Dot, but she seems content as a single right now... Traveling with two cages is not fun BTW...
