I'm using the ensure and I was wondering if pediasure is just as good for the Darsy's diet?

I would think not, but really I don't know the answer to this so could be way wrong. I would look at the ingredients and amounts of each drink and compair them that way.

I would have to say not to subsitute the Ensure. HERE is a link to another thread on this. Hopefully we'll get some more input on this. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/agree.gif" alt="" />

There are a few diets that call for ensure. The original ensure diet (I believe it is called Darcys diet) was made for a sick glider who couldn't keep his weight on or gain any. So this helped him. Many use it on their gliders with success. Just don't give them ensure though and expect them to be healthy... it is part of a whole diet.

tinks...it's what I had my SM on. It's easy for them to eat in the collar as a staple, and will help keep the weight up, if they like it (there are a variety of flavors, and you may use ANY EXCEPT chocolate). I remember reading the pediasure label, and thinking "NO" for some reason, but I don't remember why, now-it may have been higher iron or some other thing like that...something kids need that adults don't. I'll have to take a look at it again, if I get a chance, but if they like the regular, I'd recommend staying with that....since the ratios are vet approved, and those in the pediasure are different, since they are designed for a growing child, and not an adult, and haven't been evaluated for gliders at all.
