This is what I found in your own link. Regarding who needs to be licensed by the USDA. NOTE: Persons with 3 or less breeding females are exempt selling of any wild/exotic animals, excluding hoofstock, for: < pets < exhibition < research There is no 'small scale breeder' clause. You either have three or more breeding females and need a license or you do not, and do not need a license. We never had an issue with being a priority for the USDA. They were more than happy to help us with our needs and questions regarding licensing. We even had to ask for the registration packet twice. You should get the name of the person you spoke to about not needing a license unless you have a large amount of gliders. Because they definitely DO care in the state of WI and if they are telling you otherwise they are not doing their job according to WI standards. If you have more than three breeding pairs. You definitely need to be licensed in WI.

You will also need to have all of your gliders health records ready and have had your vet do the premise check and the paperwork filled out accordingly from your vet on the USDA paperwork when the USDA inspector comes to do her premis inspection.

You definitely need to be licensed in WI. So the "wholesale" part of "selling of any wild/exotic animals, excluding hoofstock," is exempt? That's what I saw that worried me.. it says WHOLESALE.. which I assumed was.. large quantities, as in.. selling to a pet store or something like that? I could be wrong, again.. I don't know. EDIT: Ok, that's for Class A, I was talking about class B. What do most people have? Some of the breeders I've seen listed have class B licenses.. Bleh, sorry. I doubt we could get any info again, we called another time and got a pretty similar reply though they weren't so blatant about us being 'not worth their time' as the first lady was. X_X Maybe I'm calling the wrong number, I have no idea. We're definitely in Wisconsin though.. Like I said, is there any form online or anything you can submit via internet to get the packet set or is it always done via phone? D:

So the "wholesale" part of "selling of any wild/exotic animals, excluding hoofstock," is exempt? That's what I saw that worried me.. it says WHOLESALE.. which I assumed was.. large quantities, as in.. selling to a pet store or something like that? I could be wrong, again.. I don't know. It's the same thing, they're just covering all their bases. I believe you would be applying for a Class A license which I can't find anything about 'wholesale'. I don't remember right offhand what we have- it's not right in front of me and I cannot for the life of me remember. What the class B wholesale means is that in order to engage in activities such as wholesaling your animals, you need to be licensed by the USDA. Not that you only need to apply for it if you are whole-saling. Class A License A dealer with a Class A license may conduct business involving: [1.1] C only animals that are bred and raised on his/her premises in a closed or stable colony, and C animals acquired for the sole purpose of maintaining or enhancing the breeding colony The following activities require a Class A license: C selling of domestic dogs or cats to a < pet shop < broker < dealer < exhibitor < research facility NOTE: Persons with 3 or less breeding females are exempt. C selling of 25 or more dogs or cats or any combination thereof to a research facility C selling of more than $500 per calendar year of nondangerous pet type animals to a: < pet shop < broker < dealer < exhibitor < research facility C selling of any wild/exotic animals, excluding hoofstock, for: < pets < exhibition < research selling of wild/exotic hoofstock, such as deer, elk, bison, if: < the sales are for regulated purposes, such as: R pets R biomedical research R nonagricultural exhibition, and < more than 10 animals are sold for regulated purposes in a 12-month period Example: A person who normally raises and sells deer for meat sells a lot of 12 deer to an exhibitor. C selling of farm animals if: < the sales are for regulated purposes, such as: R pets R biomedical research R nonagricultural exhibition, and < more than 10 animals are sold for regulated purposes in a 12-month period, and < the animals sold for regulated purposes are a majority of all the animals sold in the 12-month period

Thanks.. X_X So, probably class A from the looks of it..
I just need to see if there's any way to find the info online and request the papers that way now. =/
Edit: Found a link. X_X They wouldn't even send out the paperwork when I asked via form for the reasons I listed up above.. so hopefully with this form I'll get the papers right away and I can by-pass having to make them 'accept' my reasoning for needing them and just get them and send them in.

Our licensing process went very smoothly and quickly. We were never asked how many gliders we had- we just applied and they were great about helping us.

Dont you think this would also be helpful for someone else who is trying to become USDA licensed?? Why close this thread?? I was thinking the exact same thing. Now the main post is edited and it's hard to figure out what the original question was.
